A stunningly Satsuma Plate finely painted with beautiful birds in flowering bamboo ? The plate is beautifully made, I\'m not sure if this was part of a tea service of just made as a display piece. The dished plate is a good size , 7 inches in diameter and the pottery beautifully shaped is well made, rather than the usual light biscuit type of Satsuma. The painting of the flowers and birds is wonderful and the flowers and leaves have great spontaneity to the painting, the piece is edged in black ,higlighted with gold. It is signed in seal mark red on gold, I have tried to research this, but to no avail, though the top symbol is a mon . I would think the fatory had a high quality output .
The condition is very good, without chips, cracks or repairs.a very beautiful piece. I will post worldwide.
