This is a handcrafted pottery sake pitcher, made in Japan,complete with a beautifully-grained, precision-crafted wooden box, completewith strap closures, but missing its lid. The 10” vessel isheavy for its size and features three small knobs around the top.
The vessel carries a distinct mark onits bottom. Please see the lastphoto. The only mark we have located that is close to this one is a kamajirushi used to identify a Bizen production kiln named Keishuu-gama.
The piece has no flaws or faults and has suffered no damage.
