We are quite pleased to offer this Japanese sterling silver royal chrysanthemum flask.

Signed.

In slender oval two part form as shown.

The upper half with beautifully hand carved royal chrysanthemum sprays. Flowers in various stages of bloom, nestled against and atop one another, leaving almost open or undecorated space. Characteristic of Meiji silver.

The lower section crafted as surface of a wicker basket.

Original hinged bun cover with some of the original interior cork.

Rubbed character marks to side hinge bracket.

This rare Japanese sterling raised floral flask is 6 3/4 inches and 11 standard ounces.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The Japanese floral retain original detail. Cover well fit. Mild wear.
