For your consideration is this stunning early Americanpattern glass (EAPG) round covered butter dish made by The Jefferson GlassCompany in the Tokyo pattern. Thispattern was introduced by Jefferson in 1905 and produced through 1908. The glass is the lovely shade of light blue,and then has heavy milky white opalescent accents at the rim of the lid and base. The dish stands 5 ¾” tall to the top of thelid finial. It is 8 1/8” indiameter. It is in fine vintagecondition with no chips or cracks. I’ve check the lid and base rims closely andthey are nick free. There is a roughspot on the underside of the lid knob, but this appears to be mold roughnessnot damage (please see picture, but really only detectable to the touch). Thisis 100+ year old glass which may have typical flaws such as straw marks, wavycooling lines, bubbles, mold marks, and signs of common wear which help toconfirm the item\'s age and authenticity.This is a buy it now offering.Thanks for looking.
