Here is a really gorgeous Stanwell \'Speciality\' 162 calabash shape, a Jess Chonowitsch design. This pipe has 360°sandblasted ring grain, with birdseye grain perfectly across the smooth rim. This pipe has obviously been barely smoked, and is in pristine condition. Chamber drilling is right at the bottom, dead-center. I have a lot of Stanwells, and they just don\'t come any nicer than this one. Includes the pipe sock shown, and the original Stanwell box with its shape number printed on the end.
Nomenclature: Stanwell, Speciality, Danish Design, 162 (shape number).
Dimensions: Bowl height (at tallest point): 2\"; chamber diameter (at top): nearly 7/8\"; overall length (at longest point): 5 7/8\".Condition: Pristine / like new; no char on rim, no cake build-up, no cracks, no repairs, no tooth marks on the original stem. Shiny, sanitized, and ready for use.

Estate pipe disclaimer: Estate pipes will typically have nicks, scratches, fills, and other imperfections which may go undetected. There may even be minor cracks. I do my best to make note of those that I see, but you may find imperfections which I did not. I do not claim that my estate pipes are perfect...they are used and refurbished. But, I have lots of happy return customers who like my work, and my response over many years speaks for itself. When refurbishing an estate pipe, I ream out the old cake. I do NOT ream down into the wood. In most cases (not always), I do apply a paper-thin all food-grade bowl coating (formulated by a pipe carvers guild) in the chamber. This is activated charcoal based, and adds no taste to the smoke.
