Introduced 1960 Discontinued 1961, very short run.

Measures6 1/4\" tall x 3\" wide

In used condition with some wear to the Gold.

I collected this pattern for over 40 years but most of it purchased over a 30 year period. I packed it up about 10 years ago when we decided to down size to a smaller house and it has been sitting in boxes since then. I can\'t stand for these beautiful pieces to be packed away in boxes that I will never display again so I will be listing pieces as I unpack each box...there are many boxes!!!!

I have many vintage pieces, some collectible ones from China Specialties & some from the N.A.L.C.C., National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club. These club pieces can only be purchased if you are a club member, plus they would do a \"gift\" piece every few years for its members.

I have also bought many other Jewel Tea patterns over the years as an Antique Mall Dealer (long time ago :-))))& I will be listing those patterns as well. Orange Poppy, Red Poppy, Silhouette & Crocus to name a few.

The Jewel Tea Company & Hall China Company

Beginning 1899 Frank Skiff started as a \"door to door\" traveling salesman Business for Fresh Roasted Coffee, Spices, Tea & other grocery items. 1901 is where it all began with the name \"The Jewel Tea Company\". By the 1920\'s they were offering \"Premiums\" with the purchase of their grocery products, Hall China was contracted to provide high quality China for their products...teapots were the first. The most popular pattern is Autumn Leaf....even though there are many other beautiful patterns that are collectible.

Over the years Hall China had several different back stamps & markings on their china. Get to know your back stamps.

Hall China also made all the Limited Edition pieces for the N.A.L.C.C., National Autumn Leaf Collector Club. If you collect Autumn Leaf you can join this club & get \"Club Pieces\" that are only available if you are a member. These pieces are marked with the N.A.L.C.C & the year of membership. These can be very rare as only club member can get them or if you find for sale on the secondary market...like .

Hall China also manufactures NEW china pieces for China Specialties. They are marked \"China Specialties\" and done in Limited Additions...so when they are bought up by collectors you can only find on the secondary markets. Another Company \" Columbia China\" does a few Autumn Leaf pieces. i.e. Christmas Ornaments. Libbey Glass produces their new glassware.

To keep things very clear...None of the N.A.L.C.C or China Specialties pieces were ever made for The Jewel Tea Company as premiums...therefore they are not \"reproductions\"!!! They are NEW in whatever pattern being made.

Hall China will NEVER re-make or use an old mold in a Hall China pattern that was made prior in that pattern.

So Vintage stays Vintage!

This is wonderful news for the Vintage Collector who is told they are vintage when in fact they are not. Learn your back stamps & know that Hall China was protecting its contract with The Jewel Tea Company. For instance...a Autumn Leaf Batter Bowl was never made in the old days, but you can find one now with the China Specialties back stamp.

As I liquidate my personal collection I will describe each piece as Vintage or New so that when you buy it from me you know what you are getting!!!
