Beautiful Native American,Handmade, One-of-a-Kind, 40\" TRIPLE-STRANDGLASS PONY BEAD AND MOTHER-OF-PEARL NECKLACE. Pre-owned, never worn, yet displayed, the Necklace is Vintage-era, early 1990\'s; the necklace washandcrafted by an unnamed Karuk Artisan. TheKaruk are native theNorthern California and S. Oregon regions. Lovely Necklace is in excellent condition withtight stranding with 3 descending Strands. The longesttwoStrands are40\" around, the shorter Strand is 37\" aroundall including theNeckpiece; the Necklace has an 18\" drop. TheNecklace is handcraftedusing a thick, 6 1/2\" long, 1 3/4\" around Light Brown Braided Leather. There is some discoloration to the leather braid attributed to age and being displayed. The Necklace is designed with a large,round Red Glass Bead glued into each endof the Braid; the threeStrands descend from theRed Bead and are strung using White twine. The Beads used are Glass Pony Beads--The White Beads range in size from 2mm-4mm; the Black Beads and Iridescent Red Pony Beads are 2mm--Beads often vary slightlyin shape. The pattern is fairly uniform with each Strand consisting of a row of 4 White Beads, 1 Black, 2 Red, 1 Black Bead, 4 White Beads, another strand of colored Beads, White Beads andthen a 1\"Shard of Mother-of-Pearl. That\'s the basic pattern of eachStrand, as said, with some variations. There does not appear to be any missingBeads. The Mother-of-Pearl Shards are polished and shiny really setting off this Necklace.When wearing or displaying theNecklace, the Mother-of-Pearl pieces are supposed to face\"pointed end\" out. You willhavedoa bit of twisting toshape the pieces. The Necklaceweighs 3.6oz./103g.
