Order of payment given to the treasurer of his savings in favor of Marshal Arthus de Cossé. This sum of 1000 crowns is taken from the sale of the office of general

comptroller of finance in the generality of Champagne established in Chalons sur Marne, made vacant by the death of Jean de Saint-Hyon.

This liberality is made \"... in consideration of the great, virtuous and commendable services which he has long since made to the fire of our predecessors and to us

since our advent to the Crown... And to give him more means to support the great the dispense he made on this occasion ... \"

Arthus de Cossé, Marshal of France, 1512-1582, had been accused of intelligence with the Calvinists and arrested in 1574. Released the following year, this

liberality marked his return in favor Royal.
