DESCRIPTION
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT COLOUR: The first thing to say about the photographs above, is that I have found it impossible to capture the colour of the vase accurately. I would describe it as kingfisher blue (i.e. with a dark turquoise look to it), and the swirl (which is NOT applied, but a textured part of the glass, felt on the inside as well as the outside) only appears a different colour because of the thickness of the glass. The swirl is NOT dark blue as the photographs above seem to suggest.
The vase feels robust and of good quality. There is no maker\'s mark or label. It has a similar appearance to some Whitefriars pieces, although I have not seen one of this shape, and, as mentioned above, the swirls in the glass are NOT a different colour to the vase, just a darker tone because of thickness, and are NOT applied but an integral part of the shaping. Their contours can be felt both inside and on the exterior.
If not Whitefriars, then I wondered if the glass was Scandinavian?I would love to have confirmation of what the origin/who the maker of the vase might be, so please do contact me through if you are able to offer any specific information.

CONDITION
Excellent condition, with just light contact scratching to the outer ring of the base.
