My original crazy and traditional quilt stockings, along with my other one of a kind creations, are \"Handmade with love.....and a touch of lavender.....from my home to yours\" since 2000.

I love to remember these creative and talented ladies from so long ago, and to preserve pieces of their works of arts into pillows, little hearts, lavender filled strawberries and sachets, stockings......and so much more.......are just some ways that I can keep their memories in our hearts.

Offered is a stunning kittymade from an 1880-1915 crazy quilt with lots of wonderfulembroideryandstump work. This kitty showcases awesomehand embroidered pink flowers and lovely greenery.....all is very detailed. My next to last photo shows the back of the piece with the hand embroidery. I\'ve given a wide range of years as to when this quilt was made, due to the label that was on the lining ofthequilt. This label reads \" HARMONY MILLS, COHOES, NY, GARNER & CO. AGT.\" My research shows that this cotton mill was first erected in 1837. As it was not a financial success, it was sold to Garner & Company of New York in 1850. Thomas Garner also held controlling interest in the Cohoes Company. In 1910 Garner & Company sold its interest in the Harmony & Cohoes Company, and this label was no longer used. My last photoshows that label. If you look closely to the top of thelabel, you will see where it appears that the maker tried to remove it. Since it was probably glued on by the company, and more of a problem to remove all of it, she just sewed on top of it.

This kitty measures approximately 15 inches tall by about 11 inches wide along the bottom edge. The back of the kitty is from a vintage black velvet opera coat. This beautiful kitty is firmly plumped with new premium fiberfiland will come to you from a smoke free home.
