Koch and Lowy OMI Vintage Brass floor lamp. Good Condition. Beautiful mid century modern brass floor lamp.
Needs to be polished, I will do it if i have time. This piece is heavy and made extremely well by Koch and Lowy. Brass finish is fantastic, and the amazing detailed machined partsmake this make it a well appreciated collectible, or an addition to any room! Lamp adjusts and arm swings out. Head also adjusts and holds in position. Light switch has a built in dimmer.
History:
Koch & Lowy was an American lighting company founded in 1946 by immigrant Ernest Lowy. The company was known for manufacturing contemporary and modern luminaries. They even produced some of the lesser known but highly collectible George Nelson designs. During the 1960s, Koch & Lowy purchased the lighting company OMI. It is common to see Koch & Lowy and OMI listed together in the description of these lamps on sites like1stdibs, etsy and . Lamps are typically marked with either the Koch & Lowy name or OMI. Ernest Lowy\'s son, Thomas, sold the business in the 1990s.
