Woodblock printed book illustrated by the Japanese artist Kunisada and his student Kuniteru. Censor seals indicate this book was made between 1851 and 1853. Very good condition. 24 pages. Nicely illustrated with nine diptychs on interior pages. Covers are hand printed using several different wood blocks on washi (Japanese mulberry bark paper). Inside pages hand printed on one side of folded thin rice paper. Covers are color. Inside pages printed in black sumi ink. 7.0 x 4.5 inches. Cover is signed Toyokuni. Last page indicates Kuniteru as the illustrator. Buyer pays $5 domestic shipping and insurance.
