I am offering a charming little Kammer & Reinhardt 116A baby/toddler doll dressed in hand made knitted two piece snowsuit and cap. I have had this doll for about 20 years and know very little about it other than I know the body is a reproduction and looks to be made by Seeley (who operated their business in the city of Oneonta some years ago). The arms need restringing. The dolls head is in perfect condition and is obviously of good quality bisque with excellent coloring. The eyes are blue sleep eyes, with most of their lashes still in place, and the brows are nicely feathered.. Mouth is open with two painted upper teeth. The mark on the back of the socket head is K Star R and beneath that the letters S & H (I assume Simon & Helbig), and beneath that the numerals 116/A and beneath that the numerals 50. The only reason I am questioning the doll possibly being a reproduction, is that usually the mark shows S & H as being spelled out. I could certainly be wrong, but I can\'t sell the doll as an authentic K Star R head so I leave it to the much more expert doll collectors to decide. For now, if you offer on this doll, please understand you will be offerding on what I will call a superior reproduction with no return Whatever he/she may or may not be, the doll is simply adorable.
