Here is a very rare, highly collectable razor from Kirby, Beard & Co. It was made in France in 1948. The story behind this razor can be found in an interesting experts forum article:[link removed by ]

The handle is plated with silver. There is a very small crack on the upper part of the handle (see photo) and a small amount of plating loss on the lower part (also photographed). The razor weighs 77g.

The case is the original one (a photo provides a reference for this claim) but, unfortunately, there is no inscription on the inside of the lid. One of the original blade holders contains a genuine KBC blade, unused in its wax and paper wrappers.
