UNIQUE Kitschy Eames Era ART POTTERY Italian Majolica ASHTRAY SET of 4 pieces- by CAMA DERUTA Italy - Hand Thrown - Hand Painted - c1950\'s - VGC

Dimensions: 3 inches tall to the bowl (4 inches tall to stem) x 5 inch long stem. Individual ashtrays = 2 3/4 inches diameter.

Condition: Good to Very Good pre-owned Vintage. No chips, no cracks, no crazing. Thiswonderful SET of 4 pieces is stamped on the bowl base of the main Pipe Shaped Holder \"Cama Deruta\". The Pipe is the holder of the small ashtray set of 3. There may have been 4 little ashtraysat one time. It is a matte (unglazed) finish on most of the pieces, except the bright red colour, and the black dots in the centre of each ashtray. The white dot accents are raised and are also glossy. It is brightly decorated, in black, red, and white. The bowl of the pipe shows a little house and tree scene in red, black, blue and green. The background colour is a very wood-like painted finish and really setsthe decoration off well! The pipe handle is black with bold white tear drops. The inside of the pipe is white as is the base of the ashtrays.The 3 ashtrays fit very nicely stackedinto the bowl of the pipe.

Cama Deruta was established in Italy in the late 1950\'s and each piece is hand thrown and hand painted. The company is still in production and is famous for their high quality wares. They are often referred to as \"Italian Majolica\". This piece is likely from the late 1950\'s or early 1960\'s Eames Era.
