This KIWANIS pin measures approximately 9/16\" in diameter, and features a wreathwith \"Past President\" printed at the bottom. The wreathsurrounds a blue enamel center with \"Kiwanis International\"printed around a center \"K\" done in white enamel. The back isstamped \"Reg US Pat Off. 14k Top\".
The name of the manufacturer (Bates & Klinke, Inc.) is stamped on the screw back (see photo). This company was founded in 1919 in Attleboro, MA, a major center for jewelry production in the early 20th Century. A pin manufactured by Bates & Klinke is likely older than similar advertised pins carrying the Leavens Mfg. mark.
