Vtg Cross of Salem Ribbon Fraternal Handshake Celluloid Pin Divi Marii Duryer PA

This is a rare antique ribbon that appears to be Freemason associated. The top celluloid pin holds the image of the Fraternal Handshake and a brass and celluloid medal of Mary dangles from the base. The stain or silk ribbon has a stripe of red, white and blue and the backside is black both having silver silk screen metallic lettering that reads:

\"GR.K.R.Z.SP. USP. RRESV DIVI MARII C.747 SOJED, ZAL. 9. AUG 1914 Duryer, PA.\"

There is also a pictorial of the Cross of Salem or sometimes referred to as the Pontifical Cross because it is borne before the Pope. It is a cross, the upright piece being crossed by three lines, the upper and lower shorter than the middle one. It is the insignia of the Grand Master and Past Grand Masters of the Grand Encampment of the Knights of Templar of the United States.The ribbon measures 6 1/4 inches long.
