A stark design in black, red and white that is spiritual and profound. The lining is green. The backside features an impressive Large Red Passion Cross. Like the Knights Templar, the Knights of Malta have an ancient heritage dating back to the Crusades. In York Rite Freemasonry, the Knights of Malta are an appendent Degree of the Templars. This is classic historical regalia. It is complete with original strings. There are no inscriptions or names under the flap. The apron is in good vintage condition with normal expected wear of the years (a slight fading on designs, common wrinkles, folds from storage). No serious problems. Looks good.
