Up for sale is this Kodak Petite Step Pattern folding camera, in the scarce green color with original bellows, in very nice condition overall. Please take a careful look at the photos as they are an important part of the description. These special versions of the Kodak Petite were designed by the famous art deco designer/architect Walter Dorwin Teague, and produced from 1929-1933. They came in 5 colors, with the green version being among the most sought-after and hard to find. This camera also comes with the original case, in good condition.The turquoise blue enamel trim looks excellent, with only a 1-2 tiny dots of paint loss on the edges (see photos) and on the face plate and front standard of the lens. The shutter fires just fine, and the lens extends out on the track although the movement is a little stiff. The step pattern on the front looks excellent, with the metal areas being bright and shiny still. Please note that the top right corner of the green enamel has some fade marks that can only be seen in certain light- see Photo 5, as I tried to highlight them for you there. The bellows are original, which make this green version a very scarce example to find. However, they are only in fair condition, with some dirt/wear and pinholes in the corners. Some of the corners on one side had been taped with medical tape to make them light-tight. The tape has been removed but in some spots there is still some residue (see photos).The \"fabric\" diamond-patterned covering is in generally really nice shape, with a bit of fading along the front (compared to the brighter back) and a few very minor spots of dirt here and there (see photos). No ugly stains though like you often see. The case is in good condition, although faded in spots- but with the back strap intact. McKeown\'s Price Guide to Antique Cameras values this model at $350-$500 with the original bellows. This is a great deal on a very nice piece for your collection!
