We are pleased to offer a Large Famille Verte Ogee-Form Bowl. The bowl is well painted in the round with a continuous scene of chrysanthemums and other flowers, butterflies, and birds. The enamel painting is stunning and the shape is of classical form with a straight foot that rise to a bulbous basin below a wide everted mouth.
Condition: The bowl is in good condition consistent with age and use. The bowl is Kangxi period. The inside of the bowl has spidering. There is a small hairline visible from the inside of the bowl and a small hairline visible from the outside of the bowl. Some overpainting is visible upon close inspection suggesting an old professional repair. Overall, the piece displays well and is very stable.
