A delightful Victorian Scottish agate brooch dating to c1890s.

Queen Victoria loved Scotland and wore many pieces of agate jewellery, making agate jewellery very popular.

The brooch is oval in shape within a scolloped border, with a Sterling Silver mount (tested as unmarked). In the mount is a very pretty light and deep brown, collet set Banded Agate stone, around a central round aperture.

On the back is a traditional c-clasp tube hinge pin fitting, which works well.

This beautiful Victorian brooch is in good vintage condition, with the stone undamaged.

A pretty piece for the collector, or to wear. (Ref: T1115030)
