Here is a large wooden Emerson radio in an Ingraham cabinet. I believe it is a model CY286. It measures 16 1/4 X 10 X 8 1/4 inches with the knobs. Built in a beautiful wood grained case with louvered grill and black accents. The cabinet is in good shape with the original finish. The finish shows some wear but still retains a nice shine. The original Emerson label still present on the front of the cabinet. The dial, push buttons and knobs are in great shape. The dial cover is a perfect reproduction. The is a very small split above the left pushbuttons. It is hard to see but there. Does not distract from the appearance. The pushbuttons are hard to push but do move. The chassis has 5 tubes and a ballast tube. It is an AM and SW band radio. It picks up stations across the dial with good volume on the AM band with a short antenna wire attached while I did not receive anything on the shortwave band because I believe it is actually the police band. The previous owner serviced the chassis replacing any weak or defective parts as well as installed a new AC power cord with new vintage style AC plug. It still retains original factory Ingraham label on the bottom Which is in great shape. The dial lights up nicely. A nice radio to be played and displayed. Sold as is. Buyer pays shipping.
