A stunning good sized fruit or cake stand / comport. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1919 with the maker’s marks being those of William Hutton and Sons, a well respected firm. It has a very elegant design having a flower shaped foot and bowl with thick beeded rims and intricate pierced work. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures over 8 inches (20.7cms) across by 3.75 inches (9.4cms) tall and weighs a very respectable 8.6 troy ounces (268 grams), please note this is the total silver weight i.e. the base is not filled or weighted. A beautifully designed useable piece.
