Beautiful Balinese Carved Wooden SculptureDescription and Item Information
Up for sale is this beautifully carved Balinese wooden bodhisattva buddha head sculpture or bust. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This piece was sensitively carved from wood by a skilled artist. This piece has nice details throughout. The face is quite lovely. The piece is approximately 10 1/4 inches tall; the diameter of the base is about 4 3/4 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 3 pounds 12.0 ounces. The base is covered with burgundy velvet. This would be a wonderful addition to a collection of Asian art.Identification
This piece is unsigned. It is used, and it is believed to be vintage; I do not know the exact age.Condition
The sculpture looks very good overall, with no cracks. There is one very minor patch of roughness flaking to the bottom, side edge, adjacent to the burgundy velvet covering. There is a small patch of minor soiling to one cheek, which I have not cleaned. The velvet beneath has minor wear. Please review the photos, and ask any questions you may have prior to offerding or buying. Terms of Sale 1. Sales Tax
Before merchandise is shipped to a California address (or picked up or delivered within California), sales tax will be collected, unless the buyer provides a properly completed and valid California resale certificate form by mail (or in person, in the case of pick up or delivery). The buyer must prepay before merchandise is released. Paypal payments over $250 will only be accepted if delivery is to an address with a confirmed status. Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller typically ships on Mondays and Thursdays, unless a holiday or special circumstance precludes it. If payment is via Paypal, the merchandise will be shipped on the seller\'s next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier. Economy shipping within the U.S. includes delivery to a physical address via an economy shipping method of the seller\'s choice. At the discretion of the seller, a faster shipping method may be utilized at no additional cost to the buyer.
