This softback book is titled \"UBD Sydney Street Directory\". It was published by Universal Business Directories (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. No date anywhere as far as I can see, but this is the seventh edition. From research I have established that the eighth edition was 1971, so this must be mid to late 1960\'s. The book has 121 street maps of areas of Sydney plus5 more general maps. There is also an alphabetical list of streets, lists of schools, theatres & cinemas, police stations, places of interest, parks & outside spaces, hospitals, Girl Guide meeting places, Churches and other places of worship, camping and caravan parks, Boy Scout meeting places, an alphabetical list of suburbs and localities, adverts for businesses etc, etc. Interesting item for a map collection or an excellent piece of Sydney history, ideal for a local historian.
The item is in a very good condition. Old price label on front cover, general edge, corner and spine end rubs, small crease at top front edge, light creases at rear corners, light creases to spine, small creases at spine ends, some light rubbing to spine edges, some light browning to white letters of spine, general light browning to rear cover with some light grubbiness, the odd tiny bump to covers and pages, a little very light browning to page edges with the odd mark, the odd tiny mark here and there internally but overall clean and a very nice example. Please check scans carefully as they help with the condition too.
