This listing is for the approx 37pc personal letters/ephemera and envelopes from William to his mother Mrs. John Stewart (Martha) on Tasker St. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Pa while he was in the service. Each of the envelopes have correspondence though we have not removed to read or photograph. You can see a sampling of his writing in our photos.

Written while serving time in the Navy.

Letters date between 1943-1945. Lots of military letterhead, postmarks,postcards, uso,etc.

He must have been a momma\'s boy because he calls her several endearing names.
