I am listing a collection of Atlantic Cable pattern EAPG this week. They are fresh from an estate in Massachusetts, and were meticulously packed in sturdy boxes andpacking paper.I\'ve looked at each one as I\'ve listed it, and the condition is exceptional, with no scratching or wear.If there are any chips/flakes, I have made note, otherwise they are flawless. If you are a collector, you know that this pattern was made to celebrate the laying of the first cable across theAtlantic, from Ireland to the Canadian Maritime. It is a popular and historical pattern.I\'ve collected anddealt in glass for years, but not Early American PatternGlass, so this is my first time experiencing the amazing \"ping\" sound that comes when yourap the bell of early high quality flint glass like this. What a sound ! I will combine orders to save on shipping, and pack carefully in bubble lot includesTWELVEsmall glasses possibly champagne glasses or egg cups. There are only 6 in the picture, but the lot includes TWELVE altogether. Heavy lead flint glass, with embossed floral pattern, looks like fern leaf and wheat sheaf, above a band of diamond block at the bottom around the stem.
I was just informed that these a common pattern, Duncan Miller, so I\'ve lowered the price. I\'m not sure of the age, they don\'t have quite the ring of the other Atlantic Cable pattern I\'m selling, so possibly not the same era. Thanks for the information !
