This listing is for this beautiful 19th Century Louis XV STYLE French Vernis Martin bonheur de jour (ladies desk) Gold gilt painted with hand painted scene to the front of a courting couple in the countryside and hand painted countryside scene on each side. ormolu mounting around top edge, around desk lid, on legs, and on pull out drawer! The lid opens to reveal a drawer and cubby\'s. Great for any room!

Height 37 1/2 inches, length 29 inches at widest part of leg flare and depth 17 1/2 inches at widest part of leg flare.....

condition is good considering age....has some wear on paint....missing some bronze ormulu around drawer facing....there is Some wood splitting on bottom rt side of desk lid by hinge.

IT HAS 1 WORKING KEY THAT FITS BOTH THE DESK TOP AND THE DRAWER...LOCKINGMECHANISMS WORK!
