Description A beautiful rarelarge English antique Victorian solid sterling silver albertwatch chain compass fobby the silversmith Joseph Gloster - (1888-1898) inperfect working orderand with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1898. Excellent qualitygenuine119 year old sterling silver fob, definitelynot a modern re-production, has an attractive pierced and floral engraved scrolled border mount and it is complete with silver attachment rings.Has its original fully working compass with a clean dial and blue steel pointer and has the original protective bevelled glass front. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions.

Measurements Larger than usual size, measures approx 1.6 inches (40mm) (including attachment rings) x 1 inches (25mm) wide and is (7mm) deep.

Date English antique Victorian solid sterling silver, with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1898, (date letter \"y\"). Excellent clear struck marks.Maker silversmiths initials \"J.G\", (Joseph Gloster - 1888-1898). ConditionLovely condition and in fullworking order.No solder repairs to the silver case and no nasty knocks or dents, very minor surface bruises, really nothing much. Superb clean dial and the blue steel pointer moves freely. Has its original protective bevelled glass front, a few little age-related surface scratches, nothing much and no chips or cracks.
