Excellent qualitygenuine125 year oldsterling silver example, very detailed, with attractive pierced and engraved decoration and with a hinged top.Weighs a heavy 52 grams and thereno added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.

MeasurementsMeasures approx 3 inches (77mm) x 2.3 inches (58mm) and is 1 inches (25mm) wide at the top.

Date English antique Victoriansolid sterling silver,witha full set of English silver hallmarks forLondon 1892(date letter \"R\"). Lovely clear struck hallmarks stamped on both sides, within the decoration.

MakerSilversmiths initials \"W.C\", (William Comyns).ConditionGood condition, no splits or cracks, no solder repairsand no nasty knocks or dents,a clean genuine Victorian example. No splits or damage to the decorative pierced work. The hinge is undamaged, the spring is typically weak through age, but it still opens and springs back on its own. (Not sure I have ever had a genuine antique silver note clip with a strong spring).
