DESCRIPTION: Beautiful large carved meerschaum pipe. Overall with the stem this measures almost 23\" long(pics #2 and pis #3). Please view all pics and ask questions as antique pipes are not my specialty. This meerschaum pipe is nicely carved with a deer or goat by a brick wall. Below the deer scene is a carved date of 1817 (pic #7). Not 100% sure if that is the date of manufacture, but I do guarantee this is over 100 years old. Probably of German origin. The meerschaum has a great color and patina. It has a long hardwood stem. It has a small area of hose near the top to make it bendable near the top(pic #11). The meerschaum pipe has its original brass hinged wind cap(pics # 9 and #10 show it opened and closed). Wind cap seems to be lacking tiny ball finial on top. Everything appears in good condition for age. No chips or cracks to meerschaum. Great color. Brass wind cap lacking ball finial and has dents and dings. Stem slightly loose where it fits to meerschaum. Small age crack and small chip to piece where stem fits in. Rubbing wear to stem. I have no idea what it will take to make it fully functional (might be functional now). Selling as pictured, as found. Displays beautifully. Measures about 23\" long overall(see pic). Shipping includes tracking and insurance.

Payment must clear before pick-up or shipping of an item. We need to hear from the high buyer within 2 days of sale end. Payment needs to arrive within 2 days after the sale, or we reserve the right to sell to the second highest buyer or relist the item, unless prior arrangement has been made. We usually ship 3 to 5 days after payment clears. All items sold as-is where-is. We are only responsible for the item while in our possession. We will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping. We will pack all items VERY WELL with bubble wrap and peanuts(furniture will be packed by the shipper). That is why ALL of the items purchased require insurance. In the unlikely event an item is damaged or lost by the mail/shipper we will work with you to help you file your claim, but the settlement will be between you and the carrier. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements on furniture items. We do have the phone number/email address of a couple of good shippers and will forward this if needed.
