This clock is a very nice unusual french original green onyx, brass 4 glass regulator style mantel clock, it has its superb look to it all in great condition for age, the case has its original finish to it and fantastic large proportions which still has a superb display look as you can see from the pictures Case is constructed from a good quality green onyx and brass which gives a superb display look to it. The green onyx is in excellent condition for age with a amazing polished finish which just looks stunning when on displayThe case has a superb design with solid curved onyx columns to either side of the body of the clock with a hinged front and back door which provides access to the dial and movement. The top has a pogoda style with scroll mounts on either side of the matching finial. The clock comes with its original pendulum which can be seen swinging back and forthThe clock has huge proportions measuring 21 inches in height and is extremely heavyIt has a black ring marble dial with roman numerals, the dial is in superb original condition with original hands, to the centre you can see the working visible escapementThe clock has an 8 day french striking movement with an anchor escapement, the movement is only working as a timepiece at the moment as it came to me with the strike having been disconnected but i believe all the internal wheels are their so maybe able to get the strike working again if you know what you are doing and comes with its original pendulum and a new winding keyThe clock still works and displays beautifully as a timepiece and will be a great talking point for anyones homeThe clock measures 21 inches high x 13.75 inches wide x 7.5 inches deepThis is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece and an extremely rare brass and black marble clock which i am sure you would agree.
