Large beautiful antique oriental black lacquer Chinoiserie hand painted Jewel chest / Tansu / Tanzu with subtle colors, asian scenes botanicals & birds. The fixings are brass and most have been lacquered red. This one is a very unique piece. Condition is nice for the age with minor scratches, the paint shows some wear and the black has picked up uneven patina, some staining on top, small holes on top drawer, see all closeups. This does not detract as this is an older piece, opens and closes fine, the doors tend to stay open need to be pushed closed. There are 6 drawers total, 4 inside the double doors. Very beautiful unique older piece!
