Chinese Painted Wooden Hinged Lidded Box

This Chinese lacquered wooden box from the mid 19th century is in decent shape for its age, highly decorated with red and gold painted scenes on top and all sides. Its hinged lid lifts cleanly. The paint has lifted in areas on the lid, but there are very few missing areas.The left front foot is missing a piece but the box still sits evenly.
