Large Antique Reliquary W/ Nail Crucifixion Holy Cross Relic Wax Seal 5.5” Case:

This is a stunning antique relic. It appears to be in an old alarm clock case. This measures approximately 5 3/4” tall, 5 1/2” wide and 1 7/8” deep. This came from the Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel in Oregon which was established in the 1880’s. This was said to have been from World War I. There is beautiful metallic thread and detailing around the nail. I personally am not an expert in this area so please use your own knowledge to determine age. There is some tarnish/rust on the metal case most noticeable on the back.
