Large Early 19th Century Folk Art Primitive Swivel Lid Carved Wood Spice Box:
$150.00

Offered is an amazing example of an early 19th century Swivel Lid carved wooden spice box, most likely from the Pennsylvania Dutch area based on the carving and design. The base is carved from a single piece of wood with the lid attached so that it swivels for opening.
There are four compartments inside to store spices. As evidenced by the photos, it appears the original surface was bright red which was covered with a brown finish some time ago.
This spice box measures approximately 8 inches long to end of handle; box main box is 6.5 inches.Almost 4.25 inches wide and slightly over 2 inches tall.
Thanks for looking.
