For sale is an Very Large Hand Decorated Tlaquepaque, Mexico Tecomate/Bowl/Pot dating to the 1930\'s. The piece has a tan back ground and the finely painted artwork extends almost completely around the pot. Pictured is a man in a sombrero and serape alongside a burro with a load. They appear to be traveling through the desert and surrounded by cactus and other desert plants. The piece measures 7 inches high and has a maximum width of 8 inches. Condition is excellent with some glaze flakes (last couple of photos) and all over crazing to the glaze. There are also manufacturing flaws; a small pottery chip on the underside of the rim which has clear glaze over it and other glaze pops, runs and misses. The piece is unmarked.
