Large Old Mohair Roos Kangaroo Babies Toy Vintage 2 Babies Joey Not Jointed:

We\'re not sure what to make of this Large Old Tan Mohair Toy Kangaroo or Roos. We think it is from the 1950\'s. Thismostly Tan and light Tan Kangaroo includes two Baby or Joey heads. The Mom measures a large 16-1/2\" high to the top of her head, standing; her ears adds another 3-1/2\" and her tail measures 8-1/4\". She has a light green Ribbon tied in a Bow around her neck.
The little Joey heads measure 3-3/4\" butagain, are only head and neck Joey\'s - they are missing their bodies. The heads have all of the detail and quality that the larger Mother Roos, but at the scale that the heads are made, 2 fully made little kangaroos would not have fit in the Mother Roos pouch. The heads are stuffed with straw and inside the Mother\'s pouch is a little ball of straw. It appears that this is how they weremeant to have been made; as onlypartial animals, maybe like Puppets. Unfortunately this makes them unplayable as the stuffing would have quickly come out. Was this meant to be a display item? We aren\'t sure.
The Mother Roos is not jointed. She has two Brown and clear Glass Eyes and is unmarked by the Maker. We aren\'t sure if this Kangaroo was made in Germany or in the United States. The little Joey heads haveBrown and clear Glasseyes and also are unmarked but apparently made by the same maker as the mother Roos.
Overall this Vintage Kangaroo mini family is in Very Good Condition. Sold now as a collectible, this Kangaroo and her Joey heads came from an Estate and would be a great addition to a collection or for Display.
