HAND PAINTED. I have photographed all flaws. this is a beautiful, original hand painted oil on masonite board. board measures 24 by 36 inches. comes secure in attractive old wood frame. overall size in frame is 41 inches by 29 inches. i purchased this nearly 20 years ago from a judaica dealer at atlantique city which is the premier antiques show on the east coast in atlantic city, new jersey. I paid 700.00 nearly 20 years ago. it was being offered for 1,500 at the time. dealer said it came from a rabbi estate in brooklyn and that it was a gift from the congregation to the rabbi. this is a true and quality piece of art work. oil painting. the frame is nice and attractive. securely wired and ready to hang. old brown paper covering on rear has been ripped. flash has brightened the painting but colors are more in-line with first photo. a couple of minor scuffs to painting. scratch near candle, on cheek, on beard and on thumb. all flaws are photographed. a restorer could easily correct these scratches inexpensively. awesome piece, truly.
