Another nice collectible, Large rare 1920\'s handcarved Faller Cuckoo Clock from the black forest. Its the older style deep colored hard wood. it has the nailed on numbers and the bone hands. One of the bone hands were replaced, see the color difference. I could of replaced with modern ones but bone hands are the original. The large cuckoo bird is all wood and has the flapping wings when he sounds the hour and half hour. It is powered by two heavy cast ironpine-coneweights and the German count wheel movement has beencompletelyserviced and is rare to find one stamped by Faller. Its rare that you can find one that is still running and this runs good. the cuckoo tubes are original so you hear the same sound as they did in the 1920\'s but new bellow caps had to be installed, the original were dust. Aging this beauty is the old hand carvings, oval vent holes for the cuckoo sound, riveted back door for the gong, bone hands, nailed on numbers, flapping wood bird wings, top secured with roof hooks, Faller movement, side wood door with turn knob. I see one small repair on lower right cross branch and tiny piece of branch arm is gone above that but no one can notice, also aging split on lower left branch but because clock is old style dark wood there not easy to see. Please keep in mind that antique clocks are not new these time pieces have signs of age and that makes them distinctive and rustic from there era.and has the look of time. its hard to find nice clocks like this anymore. Please look at pictures and ask questions before you offer. This has been running over a month now.The clock measures 18\'\' top of birds head to bottom of wood knob and approx 11\'\' wide. As with all my clocks I will supply setup instructions and other informative reading information. The clock weights are heavy and the package will be large. this package weighs 13lbs. I make no money on shipping. I will pay for the insurance.
