Large Royal Doulton Character Jug - Edward Elgar D7118:

Name: Edward Elgar. This is another jug that is incredbly rare. Although it was issued amongst the other composers in the series, there are far far fewer of Elgar than any of the others. They rarely become available and are very hard to find.

Number: D7118

Size: Large

Condition:This jug has a slight blemish on the forehead as shown in the photos. This is not damage - rather it is a white spot where there is no paint. The jug is a first, with no other issues.

Certificate:No

Just a bit of info about me.........

My name is John Wadsworth, I am a 32 year old Solicitor from Solihull in the West Midlands. You can find my details either on the Law Society website or that of my firm, S.V Wadsworth & Co.

I have been collecting character jugs for around 5 years, and have owned most (but not all!) regular jugs in that time. I specialise in collecting colour trial and prototype jugs, which I buy from private collections of collectors all over the world. Several of the jugs in my collection can be found in the Supplement to the Steve Mullins/David Fastenau book \'A Century of Royal Doulton Character and Toby Jugs\'. I am always on the lookout for more!

I only ever really sell to raise money to purchase more. I also offer to buy collections, as I enjoy selling jugs on , and conversing with the other collectors around the world that buy them from me.
