Antique Art Nouveau Silver Mistletoe Mirror Locket I adore the use of Mistletoe and Sycamore Pods in Art Nouveau Jewellery it is just so aesthetically pleasing to me but it is also symbolic.
This gorgeous piece is beautifully decorated in repousse work on both the front and back with Mistletoe symbolic for life and love.
Forget checking your lipstick with your iPhone this is far more sophisticated!
One of the mirrors could be replaced with clear acetate and made into a photo locket.
What I absolutely love about this piece is that it is all original having the original mirrors. It is in fabulous condition.
There are French hallmarks (the boars head used for 800 or higher silver) on either side of the bale, also the bigorne and a makers mark but these are obscured.Pendant Size is: 6.5cm (2 ½”) which includes the fixed bail– width is just over 4cm (1 5/8th”)
