Large Unrestored Untouched Antique Hunter Black Forrest Forest Cuckoo Clock:
$1950.00

My aunt passed away several months ago at the age of 89 after living in the same house all her life. I discovered this clock over in an obscure location under the eve in her attic. Here is the story:
Her parents, who died in the 1970s purchased the house in 1927 in a suburb of New York City. At the time of the purchase, several items along with this clock (which were the possessions of her grandparents) were placed under the eve in the attic. The clock was very dusty when I discovered it. My Aunt was never married and has lived in the house for the remainder of her life. This clock has literally been sitting on it\'s back in one place in the attic since the late 1920s.
This clock is in very good condition other than being dusty. I cannot find any chips or broken wood carvings. It has not been restored and I believe it is uniquely special because of that very fact. The carving is impressive and the dark patina of the wood looks tremendous.
I am no clock expert, but I have examined similar clocks and the movements I saw are not as complicated. This clock has a drum which I assume plays a tune; it also has a striker that strikes a chime.
The measurements are 32\" tall from the tips of the antlers to the base of the clock; it is 21\" wide; and from the back of the clock to the tips of the antlers it sticks out 17\" from the wall.It has 3 pine cone weights - one of which is larger than the other two; it has a wood carved oak leaf pendulum. The massive carving with the rifles and deer head is detachable. It is held to the eve of the clock with two metal hooks. When you open the doors, one has a hunter sitting down and the other has some kind of bird. I assume the clock was working when it was put away, but I suspect it will need some work if you want it operational.I have quite a bit of experience in packaging and I will make sure this clock is wery well packaged aginst damage when I ship it. If you have questions please let me know.
