VINTAGE CHINESE COPPER RED PORCELAIN CENSER BOWL

The featured item represents a Chinese round vessel that I believe was meant to be used as an incense burner. The piece measures approximately 4\" tall, 7 3/4\" in diameter at the opening and 10\" in diameter at the rim. It weights about 5 pounds and 2 ounces.

The bowl has a bulbous body and a flange rim and is raised on three small feet. The censer is glazed in copper red/oxblood and the surface has a bit of orange peel/chicken skin feel. Typical for this type of glazing white areas on the edges as well as on the inside wall. Fine crackles in the glaze. Felt pieces applied to the unglazed bottoms of the legs.

The item comes in very good condition with no cracks, chips, broken pieces or repairs. Normal vintage wear like scuffs or scratches here and there. There may be some natural flaws and imperfections on the glaze.
