We picked this up at an estate sale along with a ton of vintage and antique items from Korea, China and Japan. The lady lived in Korea and other Asian nations throughout the Korean War and all the way through the Vietnam War. Over her more than two decades living throughout Asia, she amassed a considerable amount of high quality, rare and hard to find items. Most of the items have been in there original boxes since she purchased them 45 to 70 years ago. We will be listing them over the coming days and weeks.

Now onto the item for sale.

For sale is a great look dark red, or vermilion, Japanese lacquer ware bowl.

We aren\'t 100% sure as to this bowls origin, but it looks identical to the other red lacquer pieces we picked up at this same location. All of the other lacquer pieces we picked up were from Japan, so we think it is safe to assume this one is as well.

This large bowl measures 9 1/8\" diameter and stands 4 1/8\" tall. It can be used for noodles, rice, soup, or salad.

This bowl is in virtually mint condition and doesn\'t show any signs of use. We could only see a single light scratch inside the bowl that was rather difficult to find. We took plenty of pictures for you to see the overall condition for yourself.

This item will weigh more than one pound when packed for shipping, so it won\'t be able to go first class. We offer three different insured shipping options for this item, just make your selection at checkout.

We take numerous pictures of all of our items and provide a detailed description of any imperfections we may find. That doesn\'t mean we always get it correct. Even if you decide you just don\'t like or want the item, let us know, send it back and we\'ll return your payment immediately upon receiving the item back.

We also pack our items very well. We use bubble wrap and/or packaging peanuts along with thick cardboard boxes. If an item is breakable, we clearly mark that on every side of the box except the bottom. We have received dozens of positive comments regarding our packaging and we will always package our items with the same care as we would want our purchases to be packed.
