Large Well Quilted Vintage 1890\'s Jacob\'s Ladder Antique Quilt ~MINT CONDITION!

This CRISP, STURDY cotton 1890\'s double pink/cinnamon pink Jacob\'s ladder quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. The quilt came out of an estate in East Aurora (Erie County), New York.

It measures 78\" X 82\" and is in MINT, unwashed condition, with the occasional small, faint age spot and no wear.

There is quilting around the piecework and in grid and ocean wave designs in the background and border, all at an even 8 stitches to the inch, with faint pencil marks still visible in places.

The back and hand stitched binding are white, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.

The photos just don\'t do justice to this WELL EXECUTED late 19th century beauty in REMARKABLE, UNUSED CONDITION!
