Hand decorated in overglaze enamels,red,gold Hirado porcelain,Mikawachi Hirado makers marks to base(in the style of Kutani, Large teapot made for European market).Attractive,has panels ofSamurai and other figureswith geometric designs.It measures 16cm high x 22.5 cm wide,very good condition with no damage,no repair andno glaze crazing,minimal wear if any to main body, lid has \"Y\" shaped fine hairline and repaired chips to knot finial (not too obvious).Highly decorative made for the western market,not the usual blue and white Hirado ware.
