Here\'s a harder to find large size of this older circa 1870\'s Napa Drug Store bottle, from back when Napa was called Napa City. Sometime in the 1890\'s the newer drug bottles simply say, Napa.

Bottle is 6 3/4\" tall. Embossed all on the front: (fancy W & P Victorian monogram) WELDON & POND PIONEER DRUG STORE 96 MAIN ST. NAPA CITY

The base is embossed W. T. & Co. , which stands for Whitall Tatum & Company (the glass factory where the bottle was molded and blown in the 1870\'s)

An interesting ironic note is that this drug store was called the Pioneer Drug Store, and one of the proprietor\'s descendants, Fred Pond, was one of the pioneers inantique whiskey bottle collecting in the 1960\'s and 70\'s. I believe he was also the local postmaster in Napa.
