Rarelate 17th Century / early18th Century English antique wroughtirongrisset pan used to meltmutton fat over the fire.

Rushes would be drawn through it and coated in fat and were then used astapers and placed in the nip of the rushlight toproduce light.

This is a rare item and a must for any rushlight collector!

Condition- wrought iron has surfacepitting and wearto the front support foot as per images.
