A late 18th Century, possibly British unsigned pencil study of a male head. The drawing on thin laid paper is watermarked with a partial English Coat of Arms with the words Honi and Pence visible. I have found references to this watermark dating from 1752 to 1804. The paper measures approx. 6 1/2 x 5 1/8in. and isgenerally good condition with toning from having been framed. Slight remains of glue at the corners verso.
